There were only a few tears.....from me that is.
I really don't know why I started crying.
I really am excited to have two mornings without children.
I didn't cry when either of the boys went to preschool or kindergarten.
I was fine, until I asked Jeff if he was ready to take his baby girl to school.
(We still call her baby girl...even though she's three.....)
And Jeff said "Are you?"
And all of the sudden it hit me....
My BABY was going to school.
And I started crying.
Jeff said, "I thought you would have made it to the school first."
But at the school I was fine.
So was Lily.
She could have cared less when Jeff & I left.
And that's the way it should be. =)
She was SUPER excited!!
That backpack is almost as big as she is!!!
I checked her bag before we left this morning....just in case.
I'm glad I did:
She wasn't too happy when she found out I was serious about not bringing shoes to school.
But she got over it when she found out there would be lots of toys for her to play with at school and that she could wear her princess shoes when she got home.
Silly girl. =)
When I picked Lily up from school she said she had a great day and was excited to go back again on Thursday!

I know how you feel...expect I'm sending my first born out into the world!! We had Parent Orientation last night and I left and almost wanted to cry. Just thinking about Eli being in preschool makes me so sad, but so happy! I can't believe how quickly they grow up! Enjoy some quiet time in your house!
