First we read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. (Lily actually likes Cat in the Hat better, but that is super long.)Then we made Cat in the Hat hats! They each got a white "hat" and they glued on the red stripes. We cut the extra sides off of the red paper and taped yarn to the back to tie around their heads.
These are some cute "cats"!
Next we read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Then we made coconut trees with the ABC's on them. We started with a tree trunk on a piece of paper, then we painted their hands green to make the palms:
Then they glued brown puff balls onto the tree for coconuts, and added alphabet stickers!
They did a great job!
The last book we read was If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. After that we had cookies!
And they wanted milk to go with them! ;0)
