Last year, I started a tradition of doing 14 Days of Valentines. I started that again this year, but I'm adding a new tradition of putting hearts on their doors every day with something about them until Valentine's Day.
On Friday night, I cut out hearts and some string for each of their doors, then wrote something on each heart for each kid.
Instead of taping all of the hearts to their doors, I tied the string to a push pin, then I am going to tape the back of the hearts to the string.
This was Lily's first heart:
There's lots of room for more hearts!!
This is Riley's first heart:
And Zach's first heart:
They have gotten more hearts since Saturday morning. Here are what they say:
Lily: You are a good sister!
You are a beautiful dancer!
You are very sweet!
Riley: You are so smart!
You are a great scout!
You are a good brother!
Zach: You are a great reader!
You are a good big brother!
You are a very generous person!
They love seeing the new heart everyday! :0)
Now, onto 14 days of valentines! If you want to see what I did last year, you can go to these posts:
