Dying Easter Eggs

We dyed Easter eggs yesterday afternoon.

The boys are really good at this now. They don't need/want help at all. They also love to use more than one color on each egg.

Lily still needs a little bit of help, but she does pretty well on her own too.

She likes to use one color per egg.....and likes to take it out immediately. We have to talk her into leaving it in a little bit longer to make it darker.

She was done way before the boys were. =)

She did her eggs (7) and then wanted to do the boys eggs too since they were only on their 3rd or 4th egg each. We told her no. :0)

They all did a good job! This year there were no spills, no crying, no fighting, and only a few cracked eggs. This was the most relaxing egg dying experience we've had with the kids! Hopefully we can continue this trend next year. ;0)

Regular & Glow-In-The-Dark Egg Hunts!

On Saturday, we had the Logan side of our family over for an early Easter. After dinner, the 3 oldest "boys" (AKA the dads) all went into the backyard and hid the eggs for the kids. Then they were off:

After all of the eggs were found, they all sat around and looked at/ate their loot!

Then on Sunday night, we invited Ares over and had a glow in the dark egg hunt! I got the idea off of Pintrest. We put glow in the dark sticks in plastic eggs to make them glow:

We gave the kids glow in the dark necklaces too!

Then as it was getting dark, we hid the eggs in the backyard.

They had fun running around looking for the glowing eggs!

(Riley was out there too, I don't know why there aren't any pictures of him.)
They had fun hiding the eggs over and over again! This is definitely something we will be doing again next year!

Easter Crafts!

On Wednesday, Johnny & Ares came over for Easter Crafts!
We started out making bunny ears.
I printed off ears onto card stock.
Each kid colored the inside of the ears the color they wanted:

Then we helped them cut them out and tape them to more card stock I had cut into strips.
We wrapped the strips around their head and then taped them so they fit.
They loved their bunny ears!

Then we started on their bunny windsocks.

They colored bunny ears and a bunny mouth that I had printed off.

Then we cut those out and glued them onto a piece of paper.

We attached streamers on to the bottom and added googly eyes to match the colors they used for the streamers and the ears.

Then we made a cylinder out of the paper and taped it together.

They kids did great!

Our last project was making paper eggs.

Everyone got an egg on paper and then they used glitter markers and bingo daubers to decorate them:

(I bet you can't guess who's favorite color is what.) :0)

Finally, it was time for a yummy Easter snack!

"Bird's Nests" made out of rice krispie treats and cadbury mini eggs.

They were yummy!

Lily & the boys are looking forward to dying eggs soon!!

Easter

Zach, Riley, and Lily woke up early Easter morning to hunt for eggs that the Easter Bunny left for them.

Then they looked in their baskets to see what else the Easter Bunny left.

Then we got all dressed up for Church.
Lily LOVED her new dress.....and wanted everyone else to love it too. =)

Handsome Zach.
In the afternoon, lots of family came over for a yummy lunch and an egg hunt for the kids.

It was such a nice day!
I hope everyone had a great Easter!
