Firefly Eggs Craft Project

I saw this cute craft on Pinterest. It's pretty easy and inexpensive! I used leftover Easter eggs, led lights from Dollar Tree, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, and sequins we had leftover from other projects. And of course, a hot glue gun.

The kids all used the pipe cleaners for the legs and the antennae.

Zach was done first. This is his cute firefly:

We turned the lights on and stuck the lights inside the eggs, with the light facing the "butt".

This was such a fun art project!

Sun Catchers

We made sun catchers out of clear cups last weekend. We used permanent markers and clear plastic cups.

They kids colored their cups and I set them on a piece of foil sprayed with cooking oil.

Then I set them in the oven at 450*.
This is as much as they melted....

:0(
The directions said to use Solo brand cups. Nope. Don't do that. I tried a Walmart brand cup and it melted right away. So, we repeated the process with the new cups. Emma got to make some too!

Much better!! They took about 4-5 minutes to melt.

And this is mine. I poked holes into the plastic and tied yarn onto them.

These were fun and easy, after we used the right cups! ;0)
