Easter

Zach, Riley, and Lily woke up early Easter morning to hunt for eggs that the Easter Bunny left for them.

Then they looked in their baskets to see what else the Easter Bunny left.

Then we got all dressed up for Church.
Lily LOVED her new dress.....and wanted everyone else to love it too. =)

Riley in his GQ pose.

Handsome Zach.
In the afternoon, lots of family came over for a yummy lunch and an egg hunt for the kids.

It was such a nice day!
I hope everyone had a great Easter!

Egg Hunts!

Today, we went to two Easter egg hunts!
The first one was at the zoo.
We went with Jeff's brothers and their children.
Zach, Riley, and Lily were excited to go with their cousins!

The zoo has an egg hunt every year where you look for these big wooden eggs throughout the zoo:

While you are looking for and counting them, the kids got to go to candy stations to collect candy.

While we looked for eggs, we looked at all of the animals and took pictures with the statues. ;-)
Then at the end you tell the prize station how many eggs you found.
Zach and his cousin Madi were so excited to find and count the eggs.
They counted 43.
They did really good job counting because they were close.
There were 48 throughout the whole zoo!
(and we didn't actually go through the whole zoo......)
Their prizes were duck or bunny masks!
Our second egg hunt was at Jeff's parent's house.
The kids had fun running all over the backyard looking for eggs.

Now the kids are going to be experts at finding eggs Easter morning!

Bunnies and Eggs

We went to go get pictures taken with the Easter Bunny today!
Lily was especially excited about this.

I have NO idea why this picture is so crooked =)
When we got home, we dyed Easter eggs.
All three kids were excited to do this.

The boys wanted to make some of their eggs more than one color.
They did a good job being patient and holding their eggs still so only half was colored.

Pretty Eggs!

Easter Art Projects

We have been outside enjoying the warm, sunny weather all week, but we have tried to squeeze in a few Easter art projects too.

The first one we did was decorate paper Easter eggs with glitter and paint.

Aren't they pretty? =)

Then we made these cute ducks out of half of a paper plate.
Their hand print is the tail feathers!

Lily and Riley made these cottonball/handprint sheep.

Our last art project this week was making bunnies out of plastic Easter eggs.

We used hot glue to put everything on, so I helped a lot with this project.
They all got to pick out their colors and help place the pom-poms, eyes, and paper ears on though.

We still have to dye Easter eggs this weekend, so we still have one more project before Easter!
