Halloween Treats Tutorial

We have been having a lot of Halloween fun around here, and along with the fun comes yummy treats! Here are a few that we have made at our house!

Melted Witches:

You need green & chocolate candy melts, small chocolate cookies (I used generic thin mint cookies), and Hershey Kisses.

First, I melted the candy melts. I spread some green on waxed paper:

Then I spread some of the chocolate melts into the green:

While it's still melted, place a cookie on the "witch",

Add a dab of chocolate to a kiss,

and place on top of the cookie:

Next, I made these cute Krispie Monsters.
I needed rice krispie treats (I used store bought), candy eyes, and different colored candy melts.

I melted the candy one color at a time,

Spread candy melts on the top half of the treat,

Then place several candy eyes on to the "monster".

The kids loved these!

I also made jalapeƱo poppers that look like mummies. I needed jalapenos, crescent rolls, cream cheese/cheddar mix, and candy eyes.

After mixing on package of cream cheese with a package of cheddar cheese, I started on my peppers. I cut them in half and used a spoon to scrape out the inside.

Next, I filled with with cheese:

The next step is to roll out the dough and press the seams together to make a rectangle.

Slice the dough into strips:

and wrap around the pepper.

Bake at 350* for 20 minutes, then add eyes!

Cute pepper mummies!!

I made pretzel bark for the kids' teachers for Halloween.
You need chocolate and white chocolate almond bark, pretzels, and Halloween sprinkles.

First, melt the chocolate,

get a helper to put all those pretzels on,

Dump the chocolate out onto waxed paper,

spread the chocolate out thin, and add the pretzels.

Let the milk chocolate harden a little and then melt the white chocolate.

Pour over pretzels and hardened milk chocolate.

Now the fun part! Sprinkles!!!

After it is completely dry, break it up into pieces.

I bagged them up and put them in cute boxes.

Finally, we had a Halloween movie last night and we had this yummy drink. You need 7-Up (or Sprite), grape juice, and jello powder mix (we used cherry).

Pour half a glass of 7-UP:

half a glass of grape juice:

Then add a teaspoon of jello:

Give a bit of a stir and it foams up!!

The kids loved this drink!

I hope these treat tutorials come in handy for you over the next few days!
Happy Halloween!!
