Here are a few fun things that have been happening around here.
Lily auditioned for Ballet Wichita at the end of August:
She got her letter a week and a half later saying she was going to dance in The Nutcracker as a mouse!! She is SO excited! She has wanted to dance in The Nutcracker since she started ballet! We are so proud of her!!
Riley started his last year as a cub scout. They kicked off the year with their annual Rain Gutter Regatta!
I teach art every other Friday at the kids' school for Kindergarten through 5th grade. One of the things I was asked to do was make banners for the Veteran's Day event the school puts on. I had all the kids trace their hands and cut out their prints to make a flag, and I wrote Thank you and had the 5th grade color ion the letters. Some of the kids made extra handprints for that banner. :0)
Zach tried out the zip line at Aunt Norma & Uncle Richard's house. He LOVED it!! The other two would not try it out at all though.
We all stayed up to watch the Super Blood Moon Eclipse! This was the best picture I got. :0(
But, it was fun to watch and fun to sit out in the quiet on the deck and spend time as a family. :0)
Finally, I am very blessed to have kids who LOVE to read!! So, we go to the library a lot. Lily has loved this statue of two kids reading since they put it up years ago. Every time we leave the library she asks to sit and read with them, and most of the time I'm in a hurry and say no. But the other day when she asked, I thought, why not just let her do it. So, she did, and she was very happy. :0)
