Jeff's Birthday

We celebrated Jeff's 40th birthday the weekend before with family and friends.

His cake was chocolate with peanut butter frosting; two of his favorite things!

Happy 40th Birthday Jeff!!

While I would not want to cook for my own birthday party, Jeff loves to smoke on his smoker, so he chose to cook. :0) And since what he cooks is always delicious, everyone was ok with it. ;0)

After everyone was stuffed on brisket, pulled pork, hot dogs, hot links, chicken, potato casserole, veggies & dip, chips, cole slaw, and potato salad, Jeff opened up the gag gifts people brought him.

There were so many funny old age gifts and funny alcohol gifts. It was fun to watch him open all those!!

Then it was time for cake!!

Thank you to everyone who came over to help us celebrate Jeff! It was a great time!!

On Jeff's actual birthday, we celebrated with just the 5 of us. The kids had Jeff read the cards they made him along with coupons they made for him. 

Then he opened (took off the blankets) his present from us.

It's a cambro, which is a box to keep food hot.
He keeps asking for this stuff for his smoking and soon he's going to have enough stuff to open his own restaurant!

Later on, we had a chocolate and peanut butter dessert (see, his favorite!).

Today, Jeff turns 37! I wish we could celebrate with him, but he is in Denver. :0( We did get to celebrate with him on Friday though! :0) We had his favorite dinner, chicken fried steak, and the kids gave him their presents.

Lily gave him a Chief's frame for his license plate.

Riley gave him a new Chief's shirt.

And Zach gave him some new "bear claws" to use when he makes pulled pork.

Jeff is also getting his smoker sandblasted & repainted. He is very excited about that! =)
After presents, we had a peanut butter dessert!

Jeff, we want you to know that we love you SO much and are SO lucky to have you in our lives!! You are the best husband and father anyone could have & we are so glad you are ours!

Jeff's 36th Birthday!

Jeff's Birthday was Saturday. He started it out by getting to sleep in and eat breakfast in bed. Then he got to go pick up our new furniture. Don't feel bad for him. He picked it out and he chose when to pick it up. :0)
Later on in the day after we took him to lunch, he opened presents from the kids. (He got my present about a month ago....it was a saw he had been wanting/needing.)

The kids were SO excited for him to open the presents they gave him and to read the cards they made for him.

After dinner we had one of Jeff's favorite desserts, a peanut butter pie-type dessert.

It was pretty low-key, but that's what he said he wanted. :0)

Then on Sunday, we took this cake over to his parent's house so we could celebrate Jeff's Birthday while the Super Bowl was on.

My sister Mary made the arrowhead out of candy clay for me. (THANKS!!)

They were all decked out in their Chief's gear!

Jeff, I hope you had a wonderful Birthday, because you deserve it. We are so lucky to have you in our lives. You are the best husband a girl could ask for and no one could be a better daddy to Zach, Riley, and Lily. We love you!!

Happy Birthday Jeff!

Today is Jeff's 33rd Birthday!! To help celebrate, the kids made him a cake. In case you didn't know, there are a lot of steps in making a cake. Here are pictures of this long process:

Here they are "frosting" the cake. Lily was VERY upset that Zach would not let her lick the spatula. Good work Zach!


Now comes the hard part....decorating it. This part took longer than all of the other parts combined. They wanted it to look really good for Daddy. They did a good job.
