Last weekend, Jeff & I traveled to Whitewater, KS (about 30 minutes away) so we could check out The Grace Hill Winery. We really like visiting local wineries when we travel, but I had just heard about this one so close to us!
We started in the tasting room. I loved this sign:
Their wine was really good!!
Some of them had funny & interesting names too!
F5 (because, you know, we live in Kansas), Peckerhead Red (after a rooster that roams around the vineyard), Dodging Tornados (again, Kansas), and Chloe's Cuvee (After their first bulldog).
They also had one called El Gato Moscato, after their cat. :0)
After the tasting, we went on the tour. It wasn't quite the whole tour though because it rained part of the time and the vineyard was way too muddy.

We ended up buying several bottles of wine and we are planning on going back. They have several events that they host that sound like a lot of fun!!
Today is the kids' last day of school!! It is always a welcome change of pace. (Ask me how I like this change at the beginning of August though....) ;0)
Every year we make a list of fun things the kids would like to do over the summer break. Some are big things we only do once and some are little things we do lots of times. I just think that it helps us be more intentional with our time during the summer. :0)

Happy Summer Break!!!
Lily takes jazz, tap, and ballet lessons at Wichita Children's Theatre. Every May they have a weekend of recitals, so Lily has a very busy 3 days filled with 4 recitals. She's usually pretty tired afterwards!
This year the show was called Disney Magic!
Her Stage Dance (jazz & tap) costume was a cute cheetah outfit. They did their two dances to songs from Tarzan.

After changing costumes & tights, they did their ballet dance. This was to "A Whole New World" from Aladdin.
She had SO much fun and did a great job!! She can't wait to do it all again next year!
