Lily's Boutique

When I walked into the Living room this afternoon, I saw this:

Lily had set up her own boutique to put make-up on.

She even put on a princess dress.

She sat down in her little princess chair and got to work.

She did all her make-up by herself & painted her nails with just a little help from me.

I, of course, had to take her picture afterwards.

I'm pretty sure she is never going to outgrow this girliness. ;0)

Lily's First Haircut!

Lily had never had her hair cut before last night. It took forever for it to actually grow, and then I was afraid to take her to get it cut because I didn't want them to cut it shorter than I wanted. I still wanted it long, I just wanted the ends trimmed. I finally got the courage to take her last night. :0) She sat really still in the chair:

They didn't even really cut enough off to tell that she had it cut. Which is what I wanted. They just cut off the little wispy hairs at the end. Lily did a great job sitting there for her first hair cut!

Update on Baby Lamb

A few weeks ago, Baby Lamb (Lily's stuffed animal) magically moved around in her room doing funny things. While Baby Lamb does not move everyday anymore, she does move sometimes. This is what she has been up to lately:

One day she was letting some of Lily's other toys ride the My Little Pony farris wheel:

Another day, she was playing with Lily's ducky game:

One day we even found her trying out Lily's new swimsuit!

Here she is looking out Lily's window, waiting for her to get home:

Today, Lily found Baby Lamb with her Minnie Mouse ears on. I guess she is ready to go to Disney World with us!

Lily loves to see Baby Lamb in new places. It is so funny to see her get so excited when she is doing something new. =)

Hopscotch!

Yesterday, Lily asked me to play hopscotch. So, I drew a hopscotch board for her on the driveway. I made the boxes the colors that she wanted, then she filled in the numbers (with my help).

We borrowed one of Riley's Angry Birds bean bags to toss onto the numbers.

She picked up how to do it really fast.

She had a lot of fun doing it too!

It probably took us longer to make the hopscotch board than it did for her to actually play with it. I think she thought it was going to be different than what it was. It was fun to make it with her though, and she had fun while she was playing with it. =)

Dress Up

Lily LOVES to play dress up. She has discovered that she can switch the dresses that her Barbies wear, and loves to dress them in different dresses:

She loves to dress her ponies up and put barrettes in their hair:

She loves to deck her stuffed animals out in jewelry:

And of course, she loves to dress herself up:

and Baby Lamb too:

Apparently, she also loves to dress up my feet:

While I had my feet up on the coffee table, she put a ballet dress that belongs to one of her lambs, a ballet slipper, and a bracelet on my feet. She thought she was pretty funny.

Is This January?

The weather around here has been very un-January like. I'm not complaining. I know this won't last too long though. (In fact it is supposed to be cold today.) Lily and I have been taking advantage of this nice weather though while it lasts. We took a long walk yesterday and ended up at the park. No trip to the park would be complete without a run up and down the hill:

We made it to the park at last!

After playing we started back home. Lily was excited to see her friend Reese (from across the street) was outside too! Reese ran up and gave her a BIG hug!

These two crack me up. They are both 4 and they both are a little on the bossy side. :0) But they love each other. Reese ran up to me and said, "Lily is my best friend!" So sweet!

We stayed outside another 2 hours with Reese and her mommy. It was such a beautiful day. I know that these days are going to be few and far between for awhile, so I am glad Lily & I were able to take advantage of it.
