Thing's We've Been Doing

The end of the school year, beginning of summer always brings lots of activities! Here are a few things that happened in May!

Every year, Sunflower Bank (the bank we bank with) collects grade cards and has a drawing in May where if your card is drawn you get $10.00 for every A. Zach and Lily both had their cards drawn!! Zach got $40.00 and Lily got $110.00!!! They were both SO excited!!

Lily's class went to Cowtown for their field trip. They had lots of fun learning bout cowboys and how people dressed and acted in the past.

The kids had their spring concert at the end of May. They sang songs from Broadway. :0)

Lily even had a duet with here cousin Johnny!

Zach and Riley did great in their medley of songs from Into The Woods!

Jeff is in The Knights of Columbus and they had their annual picnic at a lake. They kids had fun hanging out with their friends and fishing.

The 7th grade parents are in charge of the 8th grade promotion. Since Zach was a 7th grader this year and I'm the room parent, I was in charge. It was a lot of work, but it was fun to put it all together!

Over Memorial Weekend, we had some fun family time with some of my siblings and in-laws.

Our zoo opened a new elephant exhibit, so we headed out there to see it. It was awesome!! There is so much space for them and there are so many of them!!

My parent's patio needed to be re-done, so we spent a week tearing it out. Zach and Riley even helped with the sledge hammer and hauling concrete chunks off and Lily helped take concrete away too. Then a bunch of my family helped pour the concrete.

Afterwards, The kids who helped (or if they were too small to help, but their parent's helped) got to put their handprints in the cement.

So, as you can see, we had a pretty busy May!
