Lily's Birthday

Lily's Birthday started out with Birthday confettie pancakes.

We had a pretty low key day with just playing. :0)
After Jeff got home from work, we went to Red Robin's, Lily's choice for dinner, and then headed back home for presents!

She had seen these princes in Disney World that would go with her mini princesses, but she decided she wanted a Minnie Mouse set for her souviner more, so later during our trip, I snuck back and got it for her for a Birthday present. =)

More mini princess stuff!! She loves those things!

Strawberry Shortcake!

Later on, after she tried out her new toys, we had chocolate pie!

Hope you had a great Birthday Lily! We love you! =)

Happy 5th Birthday Lily!

Five Things About Our 5 Year Old:

1. You are a very girly-girl. If it is sparkly, glittery, pink, or about princesses, you like it.

2. You love to talk! Sometimes you will talk, and talk, and talk about anything & everything. :0)

3. You love to learn. You like it when Zach gives you addition problems to solve, and you love to be read to and to "read" to us. You can't wait for Kindergarten to start in a few months!

4. You think you are the boss of this house, and that you can tell your brothers what to do. (That's probably because a lot of the time, they do, do what you say....)

5. You love to sing! You love to sing along to the radio, and you know most of the songs to your favorite princess movies.

Lily, you are growing up way too fast for me. I want you to be my little baby girl forever, but you've proven that's not going to happen. :0) You are becoming so independent and you seem like you have gotten "old" over night. You make me laugh with your silliness and melt my heart with your love. You are such a bright light in our lives. We love you Lily! Happy Birthday!!

Summer Fun!

Glow in the dark bubbles was on our Summer Fun List, so we invited Ares over to see if he wanted to do them with us. We put bubbles into jars, cut open glow sticks, and then added them to the bubbles:

We were VERY disappointed by these. :0(
The glow stick solution made the bubble solution glow for less than a minute.

The bubbles themselves didn't glow at all. :0(
Oh well. Lesson learned. The kids had fun playing with Ares though. :0)
Today, we had our 2nd annual water balloon fight!! This year, everyone filled balloons up and we ended up with around 850 balloons!!!!

This isn't even all of them, there was one more cooler full. We had several towels full of balloons around the park for the kids to run to. They were super excited about all of those balloons.
When it was finally time to have the fight, we lined the kids up on the sidewalk.
On your mark, Get set....

Last year the fight lasted less than 5 minutes. This year, it was closer to 15!
Thank you to everyone who filled balloons up!! I know the kids had a lot of fun!

Ceri & Brigid's Baptism

Yesterday, Jeff & I had the honor of becoming our niece Rachel & her husband Kyle's twin girls' Godparents.
Jeff is Ceridwen's Godfather:

I am Brigid's Godmother:

I gave my camera to my sister Amy to take pictures for me.
She thought it would be funny to put this picture of her & her husband Sam on my camera:

(Didn't think I would put this on my blog did you, Amy?) ;0)
She also took this cute picture of my boys:

Zach holding onto Riley's shirt, so he stays with him. :0)
Ceri was baptized first. Her Godmother is Kyle's cousin, April.

Then it was Brigid's turn. Her Godfather is Kyle's brother, Darren.

All of the Godparents & the pretty babies:

Ceri & Brigid with their proud parents & their big brother Ares:

Rachel & Kyle, thank you for entrusting us with the honor of being your childrens' Godparents.

Lily's Birthday Party

Lily's 5th Birthday isn't until the 27th, but we had her Birthday party with our families yesterday. We rented a Princess Bouncy Castle!! It even had a water slide inside of it!

Lily was excited about the water slide.....

...until she climbed to the top. Then she decided she did not want to do it.
So she came back down.

The boys, on the other hand, LOVED the water slide!

Lily liked bouncing:

She finally decided to go down the slide after we turned the water off. She didn't like the water going in her face, so with it off, she slid down!

Then Aunt Mary brought over Lily's cake!

An Ariel cake, to go along with the princess theme.

We also got cupcakes with princess rings on top.

When everyone got to our house, the kids jumped in the bouncy castle, and swam in the pool in the backyard. We had a yummy lunch, and then the kids were back outside.
After awhile, we had the kids dry off and we watched Lily open her presents!

She got so many cute presents! Thanks everyone!!
After presents, was cake!

Before Lily headed back outside, we had her try on one of the presents she got. Aunt Mary had gotten her this Merida (the new Brave princess) dress & wig. She was too cute in it!! (This is also her "Princess pose") ;0)

Then we put the wig on Brigid. I had to include this picture because she is just too adorable in this. Doesn't she look like a little doll??? So funny. :0)

Lily said she had the best time at her party! We had the bouncy castle until 8:45, and the kids were in there bouncing until the end. They were pretty worn out!
Thank you everyone who came and helped make her day special. =)
