Butterbeer Recipe

A few weeks ago, we tried this recipe for Butterbeer. My boys both love Harry Potter, and this is a drink of choice in the books. It was actually pretty easy to make and the kids loved it!

For the froth that goes on top, you need 1 cup whipping cream, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and 2 teaspoons butterscotch pudding mix:

Measure it all out, and mix together until it's stiff like whipped cream.

We chose to make cold butter beer. Maybe this winter we'll make the hot.
To make the cold, you need cream soda & butterscotch sauce.

We poured cream soda into glasses and added 1-2 tablespoons of butterscotch sauce.

Next, they topped off their drinks with the butterscotch froth:

Monster Tongues

These were so fun and easy to make and they were yummy too!
All you need is jello (any flavor, we used cherry and blue raspberry.), 1/2 cup water per box of jello, and 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows per box of jello.

First dump one package of jello in a pan and then whisk 1/2 cup water into the pan over high heat.

After the jello dissolved, measure out 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows and then pour into the pan.

Whisk until its all smooth.

Then pour it into a 9x9 pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.

Repeat with the other box of jello.

Put the pans into the fridge for at least 45 minutes.
When completely firm, use a knife to separate the jello from the edges.

Tightly roll up the jello:

Then cut into 1 inch strips:

Then enjoy!

These were SO yummy!!

S'mores!!

It was such a nice evening on Saturday, that we decided to have a fire in the fire pit and make some S'mores!

This is how Jeff starts a fire. ;0)

After the kids were done with their S'mores, they went inside to watch a movie & Jeff & I stayed outside to sit by the fire and drink some wine.
