So, since I don't see Emma very much anymore, [ :0( ] I decided to kidnap her from her momma and take her to eat junk food (McDonalds) and then to go play at Exploration Place!!
I love this little monkey. :0)
Emma really liked the walkway where you could see all of the water.
She ran straight for the puzzles first.
She wasn't too sure about these horses until I put her up on one. Then she loved it. We made several return trips to the horses. :0)
This "garden' was also a favorite.
Queen Emma!
She liked the hallway of stars. She kept saying, "I see stars! Oh! Stars!"
Cooking:
She loved this crazy mirror! LOL!
I think she might be a musical prodigy. ;0)
This was actually pretty cool. You could make stained glass windows from these shapes on a lighted board.
Fishing! She really liked the fishing. The first time she went to do this activity, a boy a little older than her really, really wanted to help her. She tolerated his help (LOL!) but didn't really like it. (Hee hee!) Sop she was much happier doing it herself.
Kansas in miniature!!
Yes, I am a mean aunt. I tricked her into getting into the hurricane wind machine. She wasn't a fan..... ;0)
I let her out right after these pictures.
Chalk!!
Turtles!!
Wet sand!!
It's like it's a 2 year olds dream! ;0)
After all of that, we went to the airplane exhibit! Emma loves airplanes!!
She liked the simulators. She didn't want to fly it though, she wanted me to. She did tell me I broke it when I crashed though.....
When we went back around to the section we started at, the teeter-totter was free!
Then it was back to fishing. ;0)
We sent her mommy a picture of her eating cookies because she was SO good!
I think I wore her out!
We went by Grammy & Granddad's house to see them. She hung out with them while I picked up "the kids". Emma was so excited to see them & they were ecstatic to see her! They love their Emma!
It was such a fun day! :0)

Fairy Party Recipes
We had lots of yummy food at the Fairy Princess Tea Party. The easy ones were Butterfly Sandwiches which were just peanut butter & honey sandwiches cut into butterfly shapes using a cookie cutter. We also had Woodland Berries, which were just strawberries & grapes in cute flower cupcake liners, and Chocolate Unicorns made with pink candy melts in unicorn molds. The other simple food was Princess Cupcakes which were just white cake mix that I missed sprinkles into and frosted with strawberry icing and topped with purple nonpareils.
The treats I needed recipes for were Fairy Bread, Chocolate Mousse, Fairy Bites, and Flower Mints.
For Fairy Bread, I needed bread with the crust cut off, a mixture of cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar, and sprinkles.
(I took 2 ounces of cream cheese, mixed in a teaspoon of vanilla and a tablespoon of sugar for the mixture.)
Spread the mixture onto the bread, cut into triangles, and sprinkle with your choice of sprinkles. (We used stars)
I found these cute cups for the mousse at Walmart for 99 cents for 8. :0) I just mixed one box of instant chocolate pudding with 1 3/4 cups milk, then folded in 1/2 a tub of whipped cream. I poured the mousse into the cups and refrigerated. Before serving, I used canned whipped cream to top them off and added chocolate sprinkles.
The Fairy Bites were really easy to make too. All I needed was 1/2 cup of butter, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla, 1 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and sprinkles. Mix all of the ingredients together, knead dough until it forms a ball, and then pat dough into a greased baking pan making a 1 1/2 inch thick rectangle. Cut the dough into little squares, spread them apart and bake at 325* for 10-15 minutes.
The last thing is obviously not a food, but I wanted to let you know where I got the tutus, wands, & wings. They all came from Halo Heaven. You can get sop many cute things from that site for fairly cheap. The tiaras came from Dollar Tree. :0)
Again, this was super fun to plan!!

The mint recipe actually came from my mom. You need 3 ounces of cream cheese, 1 egg white (beaten with a fork), 1/4 teaspoon peppermint oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 6 cups of powdered sugar. Normally, you would mix the ingredients together and press into molds and pop them out and let dry. But, I didn't have actual mint molds, so I rolled the mint dough out and cut out flower shapes using cookie cutters. You can dye the mints any color by adding food coloring while mixing it up.

Fairy Princess Tea Party
Lily hosted a Fairy Princess Tea Party for 4 of her friends last Saturday. We have been planning this for a month! I have to admit that at times, I was probably more excited than she was because I loved planning all of this girly stuff. :0)
The day before and the day of, though Lily was beyond excited as we got everything ready and she (impatiently) waited for her friends to arrive.
She picked out 5 different colored tutus, wings, tiaras, and wands. They were all matching except her wings were rainbow colored (because when she saw it, I really couldn't say no to her...) to go along with the rest of her light pink accessories, and the yellow set had a pink tiara because I could not find a yellow one. But it al worked out! :0)
All of the girls got treat bags filled with all sorts of girly stuff; nail polish, lip gloss, rings, bracelets, etc.
The night before, Lily helped me set the table. A special thank you goes out to my sister Amy for letting me borrow tea pots, tea trays, and letting me completely redo your tea cup. :0)
On Saturday, we got the craft stuff ready; beads and colored elastic for necklaces, bracelets, and rings!
We also had flower wands that the girls could decorate with jewels.
We also had a game; Pin the Wings on the Fairy!
Lily helped me make most of the food too. (She loves to bake!)
We had Butterfly Sandwiches (peanut butter & honey):
Princess Cupcakes:
Fairy Bread:
Mini Chocolate Mousse:
Fairy Bites:
Instead of tea, I thought 7 & 8 year olds would prefer lemonade. We had both regular and pink:
Woodland Berries:
Chocolate Unicorns:
and Flower Mints:
When everything was ready, Lily got her fairy princess outfit on:
As her friends started arriving, they all got their outfits on. There was a lot of giggling, and talking!! Seriously, I didn't think it was going to be so loud!! LOL!
After everyone was dressed, I took individual pictures of them with Lily and them a group photo.
This is Lily & Isabella:
Olivia & Lily:
Allison & Lily:
Averie & Lily:
Everyone!
We started off with the food!
(Thanks to my friend Wendy (Averie's mom) for staying and helping!) :0)
When the girls had their fill of treats and lemonade, we made the wands:
Then it was time for Pin the Wings on the Fairy!
They then decided that they were in need of refreshments. (Their words, not mine. LOL)
Soon they were ready to make their jewelry.
They made all kinds of fun and pretty things!
When they got tired of that, they went back to munch on more treats, then they had an impromptu dance party while watching a movie until they got picked up. :0)
Lily had SO much fun. She wants to have another one next week.......
I don't think that happening quite so soon though......
I'll post recipes for the treats later.
