Father's Day
We celebrated Father's Day a little early this year since Jeff & I will be gone on Father's Day. The kids made Jeff breakfast in bed and gave him their presents and then he had his favorite dinner; chicken fried steak.
I wanted to save something for him to see on the real Father's Day though, so I had the kids answer these questions about Jeff. Some of the answers are sweet, and others are funny. Please enjoy what my children think about their dad:
Zach:
My dad is funny because: he makes jokes.
My dad thinks I am funny when: I make jokes too.
My dad is 36 years old. (close, he's 37)
His favorite thing to do is: build stuff.

My dad's job is: to work at Paragon.
He loves to eat: Chicken Fried Steak, and regular steak, and anything he cooks on his smoker.
He is really good at: Working at Paragon.
My dad loves when I: build with him.
My dad always says: "Bub" (it's what we have called Zach since he was a baby.)
My favorite thing about my dad is: he is himself.

Disney On Ice
Last Saturday, we went to Disney on Ice! It was SO good! We also had awesome seats! (Thanks Jeff!) We were only four rows up from the ice!
There were SO many characters that came out! First was Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy, of course!
Then it went into Aladdin, with all of these genies:
Then Finding Nemo! They had Nemo, his dad, Dory, and the sharks!
(I wish these pictures were better, but since my camera has a detachable lens, they wouldn't let me bring it in, so I had to make do with me phone.)
After Nemo, was Beauty & the Beast. They had the household objects, Belle, Gaston, and the Beast as a beast & as the Prince.
Then the moment Lily as waiting for, a lot of princesses & their princes came out! Cinderella, Jasmine; Snow White, Mulan, Ariel, and Pocahontas.
Toy Story was after that, with the soldier men, Buzz, Woody, and Jessie!
When these came out, Lily got so excited. She yelled, "It's me favorite ride!" Yes, that's It's a Small World. And yes, she LOVED that ride!
We were also treated to a marching band playing the Mickey Mouse Club song.
Pinocchio was the next story we saw. This was made complete with Jimminy Cricket, Pinocchio, The Blue Fairy, Geppetto, The wolves who trick Pinocchio, and marionettes.
They even had Maestro the whale!
Mulan's story was next, and they had a cool dragon to help tell this fairy tale.
The grand finale was all of the characters coming out to skate and fireworks coming out of the castle!
I am so glad we got to go to this. It was really fun to watch!!

Happy 2013!!
We spent New Year's Eve this year, the same way we have the last several years; with our kids. :0) Jeff found these cute little bottles of sparkling grape juice for the kids:
They were pretty excited about them.
Here they are, anxiously awaiting midnight:
And then drinking their juice and popping their poppers when the ball dropped:
Happy 2013!!
