Batman's Birthday
Lily & I were invited to Batman's Birthday party on Monday. Ares was hosting it (with the help of his Mommy and his Aunt Karen.) Everyone was there. Batman, of course, Robin, even the Joker made an appearance, and Lily brought Sleeping Beauty to the party.
Oh yeah, Lily and Ares were there too. ;0)

Princess Lily & Sir Ares
Yesterday, while I was at my mom's house, she gave me Ares' Halloween costume to give to him. My sister Dianna had dropped it off for him (he's borrowing it from her) and my mom knew I was going to see Ares later in the day. I know that is a long (and boring) explanation, but that's how I came to be in possession of a knight costume.
When Ares saw it, he wanted to put it on. He likes to be Flynn Rider from Rapunzel. When I saw how cute, I mean brave, he looked, I thought, "Why not torture these two 4 year olds and make them pose as a knight & princess?" I mean, who wouldn't think that?!?
So, Lily dressed up in one of her many dress-up dresses, and off we went. They were actually really good sports about it, and I only had to bribe them with candy for the last few pictures. ;0)

Pump It Up!
Yesterday, we headed over to Pump It Up with Camden & Johnny! It's a great place to let the kids run off some excess energy. The only problem was that Lily is a bit of a scaredy-cat. She did get into the bouncy houses (after a lot of pleading...on my part...).

Lily refused to go in the obstacle course though. This is as far as she got. She tried several times, but always climbed right back out saying she was scared.
The boys, on the other hand, are not afraid of anything! One of the favorites was this giant slide:

Lily & Ares
Lily & Ares are one week apart. They share Birthday parties, and play together really well. Ares can't wait to come over to our house & Lily gets SO excited when she knows he's coming over. We got to have Ares come over to our house for awhile on Tuesday. We went to McDonald's, swam, and then just played and played.
I took pictures of these two little cuties with my camera phone (which I usually hate), but I have seen pictures taken with an app called Instagram and I thought they turned out really cool. The only problem is that Instagram is for an IPhone. I don't have one of those. I do have a Droid though, so I found an app called PicPlz that does the same thing. Here are some of the pictures I took of Lily & Ares during our day together:
These two do not always get along. Lily has been known to hide Batman (Ares' favorite toy at our house) so she can force him to play tea party with her. But, the majority of the time they get along great. They are so funny to listen to when they are playing. In the world they make up, Batman dresses up as a knight, dinosaurs rescue princesses, and Barbies yell at dragons to "Get out of our neighborhood!" (Lily seriously said this to one of Ares' dragons.)

Now that Ares lives a few blocks over, I am sure we will be seeing lots more of Ares. Which is just fine by us. =)

Bikes, Ducks, and the Playground
Last week, Camden invited Lily to ride bikes and play at a park near his house.
The three year-olds graciously let their mommies come too. =)
The bike riding didn't last too long (for Lily anyway).
She quickly realized that Camden was a lot faster than she is and decided to run to keep up with him. =)
She doesn't like to be left behind.....
Camden showed us the blue bridge where he gets to feed the ducks and geese:
