Daisy Scout Investiture

Last Tuesday, Lily and the rest of her Daisy Troop had a badge ceremony. They got official Daisy Scout badges, and Lily also received two other badges. One was for he Haunted Stroll she attended, and the other was for a Money Counts event she went to. First she did the Daisy handshake with her leader, Miss Gladie:

Then she got her badge pinned on!

All of the Daisy Scouts!

After the ceremony, the girls all sang a song called, "I'm a Little Daisy" that had actions. It was too cute & they did a great job!

Lily is having so much fun in Daisies and learning a lot!

Daisy Outing

Last Saturday, Lily & I went to a Daisy Scout event called Money Counts. They taught the girls about the values of different coins & bills, and how many coins you needed to make a dollar. Then they talked about how much things cost. It was held at Cero's Candy Shop.

After they talked about money, they showed them around the candy shop. They got to see how they make candy!

After the tour, each girl got one dollar to spend on chocolate. They could spend less than a dollar, and get change back, but they could not go over a dollar. They had to figure out which candies would be less than a dollar and if they could get more than one. Lily picked a light (they charge by the weight of the candy) peanut butter melt-away & was able to get two! Then they got to eat their candy.

All of the girls learned a lot & earned a leaf patch for their vests!

Daisy Scouts!

Lily started Daisy Scouts last night! She has been SO excited about it. I got her little vest the other day & ironed on the patches she can have now. Later on she will had petals to make a daisy when she earns them.

She even wore a blue daisy in her hair! (This girl loves to accessorize!)

They made cute streamer wands!

There are only three girls in her troop, but they will have a lot of fun, I am sure!!
