# 7: Sleepover With Cousins

Thursday morning, we were able to cross #7: Sleepover with cousins, off of our list of things to do this summer. My sister Dianna was in town this week, so we thought it would be a good time to have two of her boys and my sister Mary's two girls over so that all of the cousins could play together. We had six kids: one 8 year old, three 6 year olds, and two 4 year olds. (We also had Lily, who is almost 2, but she didn't really get to have a sleepover.)

We started out playing in the backyard and roasting marshmallows.

After we played outside for awhile, we came in to make sun visors. Everyone was able to pick out stickers to put on their hat and then they used glitter glue to decorate them even more. They had a lot of fun doing this.

After they were done with the hats, they all headed up to the boys' rooms to play while Jeff and I got all of the sleeping bags, pillows, and stuffed animals/dolls ready. Lily really thought she should be a part of this, so she plopped herself down on a sleeping bag. She was disappointed when she found out she was sleeping in her own bed.

We got everyone in their pj's and settled on their sleeping bags to start the movie. We had to move some furniture around to fit all of those sleeping bags!!

They watched The Tale of Desperaux. It was fun to listen to them talk about the movie and laugh at different parts.
After the movie, there was more talking and giggling....

....the last one fell asleep around 11:00.....

....and the first one was up at 6:30!!!

In the morning, the kids were excited that their hats were dry enough to wear.
The kids had fun playing outside. We even had an obstacle course that they ran through.

Over all, it was a pretty good time. The kids had fun together, with only a few squabbles, and with 6 kids all playing together for that length of time, I think that's pretty good! Thanks for coming over Taby, Alyssa, Cooper, and Carson! The boys had fun with you!!!
Three things crossed off our list, seven more to go!

  1. The boys had the Best Time sleeping over! Thanks for having them! They wore their visors to the park and fishing.
